"If a player holds a five high straight, or 5-4-3-2-A, it is commonly called a “wheel,” or a “bicycle.” Similarly, if a player holds a five high straight flush, which is 5-4-3-2-A, all in the same suit, it is known as a “steel wheel.”
The Steel Wheel is a patrol, the smallest unit division short of individual operators, within the Korps Special Operations Unit (KSOU).
Its motto is Cum te ludere ludum, quis vincit? / "When you play the game, who wins?"
Its members are as follows (reading the hand from left to right):
ACE: Jessie Banks, callsign "Jailbreak", (Extraterrestrial) snow leopard
TWO: Shay Holian, callsign "Itamae", Irish grey seal
THREE: Dominic Holmes, callsign "Ton 80", English merlin
FOUR: Aurora Olivera, callsign "Flux", Argentinian sunbeam snake
FIVE: Nadia De la Croix, callsign "Monte Carlo", French painted dog.
The five of them share a tight familial bond, and routinely deploy to perform counter-terrorist operations to protect Korps and Korps-aligned interests around the world.
Whether it's hostage situations and bomb threats or hostile port takeovers and hijacked vessels, the KSOU is exceedingly flexible in when, where, and how teams can be deployed.
