I wanted to properly thank you again, Adelle. I may have said so in private before but the YCH sequence turned out simply superfun and toony! I appreciate it also that you were so nice to me and adding the extra panels after my request for it. When it comes to detail in regards of the characters at hand, communication and service, you've shown me nothing but greatness! You may mostly been one rather fore Were- and other Beasts, but you are dioing also nicely with a rather harmless one like Shiny. =3
Expressiveness is something that I always love in character illustrations and I was quite eager to see how my Totodile mascot might look when showcased instead of the example character you've shown in the initial sketchwork. The result is not just easy to read in terms of Shiny's eye and facial but also in his body language.
The various panels in this series are all showing Shiny well how he is going about the whole water Inflation game that he got introduced to by various other toony dudes that he's met over time. He obviously seems rather happy to go for a fun stretch of his scaly hide and likes the feeling of bigness to be applied to himself, which is nicely showcased by his jolly look in the first panel followed by the initial surprise of the rushing in gallons of water.
The oversized garden hose adds well to the comical situation (and I must admit, I couldn't help but imagining spaghetti/noodles there remembering of how much you like the meal; great taste by the way. ;3) and assures a mighty fill with more water for the already waterbased Pokémon.
As said, the way you drew Shiny's figure to showcase the growth towards his hips and tummy were all nicely exectuted. In general every of the drawings became very true to the initial design from Shiny#s ref sheet and showing your professional sense withing your linework.
Lastly, the lower panels show well how Shiny seems to feel the steady growth in weight. His expression makes it feel like he's both enjoying and focussing at it, concentrating that he doesn't lose the hose in his jaws before he got at least as big as a few Feraligatrs stacked on eachother, hehe. X3
Great startoff of an overall supersweet and cool series that I am happy to have gotten the oppurtunity for of receiving from you, Adelle. As Shiny would say: Totodily awesome! (~.=.o)
