I've been playing Sonya in a Pathfinder game with friends. She's proven a little more powerful than I expected due largely to my experience with the game and being given room to grow. Normally at real life table top games I don't play wizards often, in part because everyone overshadows me. So it's nice to have had a chance to shine. I'm better at this than I thought.
While Sorcerers pack more firepower and special abilities wizards have more versatility, able to swap up their spells daily. The wizard who took the right spells for particular fight is a truly terrifying sight to behold. Especially when they have the money to start experimenting with magical items to enhance their power.
