Prince Crucible is a MLP OC concept I thought of and revised for the past few years; in this fan-fiction I've concocted, he's the weaker, younger brother of Princess Celestia. This particular piece is my vision of Prince Crucible in his full attire before his banishment to Tartarus in the My Little Pony Universe; in the Tartarus story arch, he attempts to redeem himself by re-acquiring "The Wings of order" and saving Equestria along with his new friends from his own folly. In this piece, I'll be describing his different forms or "Magical Frequencies" the Prince uses depending on the circumstances he's faced with day by day. Depending on Crucible's mood and level of magical output/frequency Crucible's mane color, eye color and chest scar color will change from blue to red to violet and ultimately a mix of all three. Keep in mind, the color matches describes emotions we all feel, he happens to use the emotions I list below as tools for magical spells.



Blue symbolizes: Depression, Anxiety, Angst, Regret, Worry, Grief and Sadness. Using the energy from these emotions, he can convert this in his "Defensive" Magical Frequency; with this power, he can form magical barriers, peer into dreams, heal and use varying forms of telepathy and more advanced teleportation. Crucible is virtually invulnerable to magical altercation, however, his will and physical prowess is significantly weakened during this state. (This form is the most prominent during his Redemption/Tartarus story line check the link below if you're interested!)

Red symbolizes: Anger, Frustration, Annoyance, Determination, Passion, Combativeness, Stubbornness, Discontent and Indignation. Using the energy from these emotions to convert into an "Offensive" Magical Frequency; with this power, he can use his ethereal wings as super hot plasma, blade-like weapons and to bolster his physical prowess. This is his most energy inefficient form, this sudden drop in power is signified by his ever evaporating horn; the more power used up, the shorter his horn becomes. Crucible's horn will reform back to it's normal length after a period of rest. During his "Red Frequency" he's vulnerable to physical attack, but ignores flinching.

Purple/Violet symbolizes: Grace, Patience, Generosity, Nurturing, Optimism, Playfulness, Creativity, Calculating and Persistence. When it comes to magical prowess, this is most powerful and rarely seen frequency. With this and the use of the Artifact known as "The Wings of Order", Crucible can form large planetoids and (at great cost) a suitable biosphere for life. If in combat, he will burn through his energy more efficiently (but still quickly) and primarily use ranged, magical attacks. His wings and hooves become artistic tools to use either on the battlefield or on a canvas, both equal in elegance. Crucible used this form during his battle with the "Minions of Disorder" to gain a foothold in the Star System Equestria currently sits in, this altercation formed the scar on his chest, and is evidence of what Crucible calls "his carelessness".

When all colors are in flux, or seem mixed and blend together, that's Crucible's general appearance and is a culmination of all of his emotions. He generally prefers a more dominant purple tone, although, the other color frequencies are present in his mane and ethereal wings.
