So, this is my first journal entry in over 3 years, I really wish it were under better circumstances.

Firstly, want to express my deepest condolonces to Dragoneer's friends and family.

For those who may not know, Dragoneer was the founder and owner of this site, and while I knew little about him personally, the space he created for all kinds of creativity and freedom from censorship or AI art on this cite was incredibly admirable. His untimely passing is a huge blow to the community.

There has been very little information about whether FA will have a future in the wake of his passing, as it is not really known if he had been funding a lot of this site out of pocket, or if he had a will or had nominated anyone to take over in the event of his passing.

There are some who are optimistic that the site will continue, and I want to count myself among them, but with so much uncertainty at this time and the rumors that this site was being run at a loss for the past several years since Dragoneer took ownership...it doesn't fill me with much confidence.

I was planning on writing another "By The Tail" story to be posted in the near future, but with this news...I don't know...I'm not sure that will be a viable option.

I hope I'm wrong.

I just wanted to advise people to back up their FA (just in case) and that I hope to get a little more active again, but probably won't be able to until more is known about what will happen to the site.

I sincerely hope the side doesn't just disappear overnight, but...who knows...
