Year of the Dragon
Hey, this is Ryan~
Again, it's been a while since I made a journal, so I figured I would bang one out right quick! I went and worked too hard again and caught a cold, so here I am typing this instead of out romping around for a change. I had a productive surge this year, maybe because of the Zodiac, I dunno, but I'm rolling with it.
I want to thank everyone who liked Ryu Returns, and who has stuck with me in general over the years. This story is especially important to me, as I've been carrying it around in my mind for a long time, just letting it grow and develop from a scattering of ideas into something cohesive. Now that I wrote it all down and it's finished, I'm still coming to terms with the reality that it's finally out there and people are reading and enjoying it. I want to expand this story and do some major world building with Ryu and the alternate Earth he lives on, a world much like our own except where humans and anthros coexist.
Something else I've considered lately is adding Warcraft artwork and stories to my page. Those who have known me for a long time outside of FA know that I have a deep love for the Warcraft franchise and its lore, even if it does get a little silly sometimes. x3 Until now, I've had an unwritten rule of only having artwork and stories of my own, original characters in my gallery (of which there are about to be a dozen or so more O_o) , and lately I've been wondering if I uploaded some of my Warcraft material, if people would enjoy it?
In the days to come, expect to see more of Ryu's adventures now that he's back in action, and I wouldn't be surprised if things got a little kinky. ;> I have big plans for him, including a villainous group for him to outfight and outwit. Oh, and don't think I've forgotten about the ladies: I have a couple of Coryn's misadventures in the works, and Reiko and Leah are going to have big roles in Ryu's epic story arc.
Before I wrap this journal up, I have a question for those of you who read and enjoyed Ryu Returns. As a writer, I'm always looking at what works and what doesn't in stories and why, so what did you guys think about this story in that regard? Anything I could do more/less of? Personally, I'm very pleased with how this story turned out that's been a part of my thoughts for so long, and I look forward to building this world further.
