Greetings and welcome to Crossfolf Corner! You've arrived at the den of John-Angus McQuarry III ( or simply 'Gus if you prefur! ) a rather silly but perfectly harmless Crossfolf happily living on the very edge of the Mighty North Atlantic in scenic Nova Scotia, Canada!

Please...come in! Ooof that North Atlantic wind is golly BRUTAL out there today! Here - take the chair beside the woodstove while I go put the kettle on! Let's sit together and enjoy what my Grandmother used to call "a cuppa cheer"!

I've been lurking around on FA for a long time, and I'm still in the process of fixing up my page and building my own silly little corner in the neighbourhood, but it's coming together! In the meantime, I've been enthusiastically gathering a gallery of favorites to share the art that I like, and maybe hopefully promote the artists who I like! Every artist and commissioner who I've included has my sincere gratitude for sharing such beautiful art with all of us. Thank you all. :)

I would love to know that something you saw in my fav gallery inspired you to go visit, watch, fav and maybe even commission an artist who I've featured. Until I start getting some more new art featuring the Silly Crossfolf, it's the least I can do!

And as for the Crossfolf, you ask?
okay okay so ya didn't ask ... yer on my golly page so I'm tellin' ya ;)

Well, I love writing, playing the guitar, and writing on my guitar. No, wait : that's not quite right...

I play a bunch of weird/antiquated instruments: bass fiddle, mandolin, zither, pirate accordion, autoharp,...ya get the idea! Music is my true passion. I can't imagine my life without it.

In recent times I've gotten a bit into photography, and thanks to a few of my friends' encouragement (You know who y'are) I've started showing off my own favourite shots in my gallery here at Crossfolf Corner. I hope you enjoy some of them!

I love to read. I love books. Books books books. Hardcover, softcover, novels, magazines...fiction, fantasy, art, history, inventions, architecture, music, biographies, automobiles, trivia...I have at least a few books about it, and probably many!

I also love walking, bicycling and swimming. After all, the Mighty North Atlantic is practically in my back yard! Fun Fact: The south-eastern coast of Nova Scotia has the warmest salt water north of the Carolinas.

AC/DC. I take a "live and let live" approach to life, and it's worked out fine for me thus far.
Every race, species and gender is welcome here at Crossfolf Corner! There's a seat at my table for all.
