Well, it's a new year. I'm yet a year older still (my birthday was just over a week ago ), and I've got some new artwork and a new character I've recently adopted is going to be shown off a bit. Depending on what my scheduling and finances can accommodate , I will be planning out some commissions that I hope will feature both my furry characters and my aeromorph characters. Fingers crossed XD, it's a bit ambitious. Stay tuned in the mean time.

Hey there. Just a heads up. I'll be doing a large aeromorph character upload to my gallery over the next day. Some people may have seen a large number of character names in the character directory in my FA Gallery, but there's no content in them. I've been working on character bios for these aeromorph characters thru much of 2017 and all of 2018. I still have bios to add to some of my characters that are already posted, but I want to go on and debut these ones since I've effectively been "hiding them" while I worked. Several artist friends have seen them and have been trying to convince me to upload them asap. Well, I'm ready to as I don't want to keep them secluded for another year XD.

It'll be a good bit, so please be patient, but I'm sure you'll all enjoy seeing them.

I'm going to go on and share a character I've been sitting on for nearly a year now.

So, if anyone was wondering why I had a few characters in my roster on my gallery that were blank, fret not... They're about to be filled one character at a time.

Her name is Chloe Jennings. Some of you may recognize her from another profile on FA. I did acquire her from a friend at the beginning of the year. I didn't upload her right off though as I wanted to get her ref sheet updated. I have her newer 'updated" look now and I simply love it. No major changes were made if anyone is worried I redid her from the ground up. It was mainly just adding some clothing and hairstyle options for her that I though made her even more gorgeous. So, along with some older art of her that I really liked that I now own, I'm including her new ref sheet as well as a new pinup of her that is exclusive to me to commemorate her being one of my characters now.

I hope many of you will enjoy seeing her as much as I do.

I am making a direct effort to learn how to draw myself with the intent of hopefully soon drawing my characters myself. That will include both my furry cast as well as my aeromorph cast of characters. It’s not gonna be an easy process, but I hope to eventually produce some works that will do you all proud and keep you watching for years to come.

Today is officially my birthday now. For those of you who read my journal from earlier in the month, you know this particular event has had me feeling depressed lately. As I figured, I’m doing stuff that will keep me from really celebrating my birthday with any friends and family. I know I can do it when I get back, but having had to do that for the last 14 birthdays really detracts from the whole significance of the day. It may sound silly, but the actual day itself has almost become a reoccuring ‘broken promise’ to myself. Next year will be the same thing; me missing it. I can’t say why exactly, justthat I’ll be doing the same thing I am now on this birthday.

Normally, I don’t look at this day with such a depressing outlook. This is just something that’s happened recently. I’ll likely move on past this in a few days and be back to normal more or less. Right ‘now’ though lost all the joy associated with the moment.

If anyone has any coping mechanisms formatuff like this, I’m all ears.

**I probably should elaborate a bit. My birthday is a few weeks in to the new year in January. It hasn’t come up yet, but I’ll miss it due to a training event I have to attend that runs from the 20th thru the 30th.**

So, it's a new year again. My birthday falls at the beginning of the year (well, in a few weeks to be exact), which normally isn't that big of a deal. However, after leaving active duty Army a few years ago for the reserves while I worked on my degree in university, I started to get used to actually being able to celebrate birthdays again after 10 years of it being 'just another day' since you can't really celebrate a day special to you when you're away from friends and family. However, it seems that the Army is finding ways to keep me away on my birthday yet again. They started doing it again in 2016 by having me away at an Army school. Last year was spent out in the field. This year will be spent at another Army school, and I'm told that the training schedule for my unit will have me away on my birthday next year as well...
My immediate family still makes sure to celebrate my birthday, but that's about it. Lately, I get the feeling that any significance/attachment to that day is long since gone and I should just forget about it's meaning. For a short while, I was starting to enjoy celebrating them again, but it seems it wasn't gonna be something to count on. Right now, It's kind of depressing thinking about it. I don't know....

Thoughts?

It's that day of the year again for me. One more year added to my life so far. I know for many people, birthdays can be a big deal. Lately for me though, it's just another day. I think some of this comes from spending a fair amount of birthdays overseas away from friends and family who would normally help me celebrate it. In that situation, it gets lost in the shuffle and becomes "another day" on the calendar. I'll be trying to get back into the cycle of celebrating mine this year though; although because of how my class schedule and military obligations worked out, it won't be until this Sunday. At least it's better late than never XD. So, here's to another year on Earth and the adventure it brings, and to the people I'll meet, the friends I have and the new friends I'll make thruought this year.
