In the modern day world in Paris, things looked like a regular day as usual. The city is known for multiple landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, and the Luxembourg Palace.
"Oh, isn't this place so lovely?" said a man named Gilbert Beaumont, who is with his girlfriend, Charlotte. The former is 26 and the latter is 22.
Gilbert and Charlotte hold each other's hands, showing love towards each other. Charlotte eventually kissed her boyfriend on the cheek. "Why, Paris has been this lovely for multiple years." She responded.
"Tell you what, babe, I just love it how this place can be so filled with beautiful landmarks, like the Eiffel Tower..." He said in cool tone, looking classy. "My parents used to take me at the tower when I was young. Brings back memories during the old days."
"So, um, where are they, anyway?" Charlotte asked Gilbert, wondering where his parents are.
Gilbert replied, saying, "My parents don't live in Paris anymore. My parents have moved into the city of Strasbourg after I graduated from college a few years ago."
"Aww, you know, I wish one day you'd take me there one day so I can meet them." Charlotte told Gilbert, having never met his parents before. "Even though I never saw them, I do find them just as adorable as you are, my sweet boyfriend. After all, once I meet your parents, they'll finally know who I am!"
"Remember, Strasbourg is almost five hours away from Paris, though." Gilbert reminded Charlotte that it takes a long time, and they should consider driving a car so they can visit that city.
In Gilbert's head, he was remembering the time when he first met Charlotte. He met her when he was in his last year at college whereas Charlotte attended the same college during her first year. She eventually had dropped some time during the second semester in her second year at the same college where Gilbert, so they could form a relationship.
"I just not realized." Charlotte said, finally knowing something about Strasbourg in the past.
"What? What is it?" Gilbert asked.
"That I spent time living with my aunt in Strasbourg back then when I was in 9th grade during the spring. My mother and father had been in Barcelona, Spain at that time before they saw me again the summer." Charlotte replied.
Gilbert understood the brief story Charlotte told him, and he somehow sees a connection with how living without each other's parents is frustrating, but sometimes everyone should make things easier when they are not around.
"I can now see why living without parents is not that easy." Gilbert said.
"Hmm, at least there's a certain hope for it." Charlotte replied. "But if we ever saw our parents again, they'd be very excited to see us again..."
As the two continued walking on the streets, the ground felt a little shaking below them.
"Wait a minute, what was that?" Charlotte stopped herself as she was beginning to feel herself like an earthquake occurred just now, even far away from her.
"Hold it." Gilbert put his hands on Charlotte's shoulders, feeling a little nervous.
While the two still looked a bit nervous over what was happening, they are seeing some people running away.
"Run! There's a giant kitten in the city!" One person shouted as he ran for cover with other fleeing citizens.
"What kitty? I don't see any-" Gilbert said before he was interrupted by some booming sounds that came louder like thunder.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are!" said a voice from far away which echoed in a very deep tone. Gilbert and Charlotte eventually recognized a shadow looming over them, and Gilbert turned around, seeing a giant kitten, just as the citizen predicted, telling no lies.
Gilbert pointed his finger and told Charlotte, "Look! A giant kitten! Somebody was correct!"
The huge kitten is a female and she has a bow on her head. She stomped her way through the streets in Paris, leaving paw prints behind her in her search for the humans to play with.
Her name... was Marie. Marie sniffed her nose for the scent that the humans are around, and they can't hide from her giant size because she's basically a huge adorable kitty. Her looked down at the humans, including Gilbert and Charlotte.
"Um, nice kitty..." Gilbert said backing away from the giant kitten, thinking that she may scratch him.
Although Gilbert believes a giant kitten, Marie, however, didn't, and she approached Gilbert's girlfriend, Charlotte, and the latter placed her hand and the kitten placed her paw, connecting them gently.
"See? She's not being so mean, Mr. Fearful." Charlotte told Gilbert, showing him that a giant kitten is being gentle as her huge paw is softly placed on the human's hand.
Even so, Charlotte hugged the giant kitten's leg, having a like towards Marie.
"You humans are so cute." Marie giggled as she saw one tiny playing with her despite her size being the bigger one and that she could be about the same as the Eiffel Tower nearby. "I could go anywhere better at this size!" She declared.
The humans who have been running stopped themselves as they all watch Marie and Charlotte hugged each other. Marie laid on her back, wanting some gentle rubs.
"This will not hurt one bit..." Charlotte said, rubbing the huge kitten's belly very gentle, though this was ticklish, making Marie laugh.
"That tickles, even for a giant cat like me!" Marie couldn't stop herself from enjoying the belly rubs Charlotte has been giving her.
Others humans started adoring the giant kitten, knowing her as a heroine, and Gilbert said as he was thinking to himself again, "Well, well, well, as they say sometimes, giants can be more friendly with you when you be nice towards them."
Afterwards, Charlotte safely jumped down, and Marie got herself back up.
"Aww, you humans really love me at any size!" Marie told the humans, seeing her cuteness at a giant size can make a difference at whatever size she can be.
Marie started walking, which resulted in the ground shaking again and the humans waved goodbye at her as she continued her way, hoping she can see the Eiffel Tower, which will match her size for sure.
