I only recently got into these guys! Before a few weeks ago i only knew anpanman as a weird mascot guy i saw on bread sometimes XD But now I know his story and I just love the show! It definitely deserves fanart. I think anpanman, baikinman, and shokupanman are my faves.
It's pretty dang adorable and fun, I must say :3 I heard of it a looong while back when my brought me home some stickers from it...I used them to label my memory cards for my PS2 xD Has fun character designs, when I get the time I should definitely take a crack at 'em :3 Baikinman and Dokinchan are prolly my favorites

Whenever I see Anpanman I think of when this friend from Japan I met on Tegaki visited, and i told her I saw that guy around a lot but didn't know anything about him and I got to have it all explained to me. X3

Favorited for:
1) Anpanman art is uber rare on here.
2) The texture you used kinda makes em look like those large foam punch out thingies you used to play with in pre-school / kindergarten which makes em extra adorable. And given that this is a pre-school / kindergarten / early grade school show, that just makes it work exceptionally well.
3) Your style, now that I've found you here, has a certain something about it I can't put my finger on. I know it reminds me of some sort of old 80's design, but I can't recall what or whose.
