Persephone is a Gamer Girl, through and through. Her obsession began at an early age, when she happened to find one of her parents' copies of 'The Legend of Zelda' (or 'the shiny game' as she called it back then) Ever since, she has been fond of all sorts of games, ranging from FPSs, to RPGs. She'd just as quickly hop online and decimate a team in Halo, then swap over to Fable or Mass Effect. She is particularly fond of (now considered) Old-School chip tunes and synthesizers, especially some of the more awesome tunes from the Sega Genesis's Yamaha YM2612 (One of her particular favorites that she often listens to/hums to herself is the theme from the "Lava Powerhouse" from Sonic Spinball.) Also, being a child of the 80's and 90's, she has a tendency to start doing very 'Beavis and Butthead'-like vocal guitar riffs ("Dunt-dun-dun-dunt!" etc.). More recently, she has become fond of catchy, repetitive little songs. She's a fan of Weebl and Tobuscus. Her main body markings come together on her back to form a shape very similar to a 'Rupee', which has lead her to make the joke that she was 'marked as a Gamer from Birth'.

Sadly, Persephone suffered a lot of ridicule and misplaced fear and hatred as she was growing up, mostly because of her wings and horns. Her red eyes and facial markings, though perfectly acceptable to most other children, were frightening to some adults. "Demon", "Hellion", and "Evil Minion" were the commonplace insults she would endure at school; and as everyone knows, children often take up their parent's views, simply because they feel it's 'correct'. Many of her friends had a falling out in grade school, as their views changed; even ones that had been accepting and by her side from the start. Her first year of Middle School was the worst, where she suffered a mini-mob attack. A group of older students had heard about her, but all they knew were rumors and vicious lies. She was singled out on her way home and beaten down. However, a few students came to her aid, and fought back the unruly mass. These students, the majority of whom she had never met, quickly became some of her best friends in the years since. In High School, with the help of those friends, she blossomed into the cheery, friendly gal she is today. She decided to leave behind the pain of youth, and instead embrace the promise of tomorrow.
