Jax Furs: Game night and Picnic information!!

April 24th - 25th
The Jax Picnic gets rolling with a Furbowl at Beach Bowl where a headless lounge and full bar and grill are available. Next the Barbecue and Potluck Picnic kick off Saturday at noon. Hot dogs, hamburgers and sides are provided for everyone and a cornacopia of potluck dishes follows. Bring a dish to share and then party off the food coma back at the hotel! A Headless Zone is available! Though fursuiting is encouraged you don't need a fursuit to attend! come on out and party down with the Jacksonville Furs.

Event Ideas.. anyone?
Posted 10 years agoWith the way Jax is spread out its very difficult for everyone to
come and enjoy what events we have.
So we'd like to get some feedback on what Other events we can add to our roster and after we get a decent list we shall take a vote and start implementing them.
These events can happen weekly or Monthly does not matter. We need to get more stuff happening, We'd like things from House parties to Mall trips, so that we can get everyone together in some way or fashion. We understand some furries in Jax have kids and have difficulty meeting up for various reasons.
So If you have an event put if its Kid friendly or not.. this is not to deter people but to help them realize kids are allowed.
EVENTS SUGGESTED:
Mall Meets (kids allowed) Weekly.
Bowling (kids allowed) Monthly
House party (No kids) weekly
Beach Trips (kids allowed) BI-weekly
Club trips (No Kids) weekly to Bi-weekly
Movies (Kids depending on movie) Bi-weekly to Monthly
Museum trips( Kids allowed) Monthly- Bi monthly
Camping Trips (Unsure) Bi-monthly- twice a year
Furry Kayak trip or gathering (unsure) Bi Yearly
Dont be afraid to state your idea, We would just like to try and get more families involved while also making it more fun for those without.New Admin!

My name is Bade wolf, and I'm one of the new admins for this page. I shall be posting several things and we have a Google Docs to let people post events, be it special or regular meet ups.
We do have a GroupMe app going on, for those who wish to join its for Iphone and Android. Just post a comment here and we will add you to the group. I am new to this and will be having a bit of help as we go. So if you can just bare with us, then things will become more fluid, and eventually we can have even more events through out the year.

here. The search for new admins has come to an end! Please give a warm welcome to the following furs for stepping up as your Jacksonville Furries Administrators!

So these guys will be the ones taking the group over for the most part, though I will remain the management head for the group in case anything may come up.
What you guys should expect:
Koa, Bade, and I will be going over what this group will be providing as of short. For now, don't expect anything short of routine meets, though spontaneous meets are sure to happen. Always note this group if you are planning stuff like a pizza party for the night and want furs to attend with all the information you'd like to provide and we will try to make it public, though of course you can use the shouts for simple stuff, or to get your message out before we can get a journal out.
Will we be seeing Koa and Bade around town?
Most likely. Again, it's up to them. I'm sure they'd love to meet with you guys as much as you'd want to meet them!
So what about you, Growlmon?
I will unfortunately not be residing in Jacksonville as of 18 August 2014. University calls, what can I say, I don't go to one here (seriously, JU is expensive and UNF... lolnothnx). However I will be back in December (though family has plans to visit), whenever Spring break will be, and of course in the Summer, and if all goes well I'll FINALLY be able to meet up with you guys. Til then, I'll be 6-8hrs west of here.
So everyone, this group is about to undergo a nice little (or big) renovation, and you are the members. You make up this group, not the admins alone, I'd like to hear your input of what you want out of this group and any other questions and comments you may have.

Anyway, I will be moving out of Jacksonville in the next few weeks and am already administrating another group (
for anyone that cares) so I will be looking for a new owner and probably one or two admins. I won't give the account away right off the bat, I will still hold onto it for probably a month or two, keeping an eye on how things go just in case.
If you are interested in administrating this group, please send my personal account a note with "ADMIN APP" as the subject with why you'd like to be an admin, your capabilities of hosting local events, past administrative experience, and whatever else you may think is fit in the application. Do not ask to be the owner, I will be selecting that at a later time and it will most likely be one of the accepted admins out of here.
