In the first panel, it looks like Lamb is asking the avian on the pier to throw her the grappling hook / mooring line and that brought up a question:
Is Hadalen (or any other magic) too taxing for quick mundane uses?
Reaching for the mooring line with Hadalen instead of (possibly) taking a grappling hook to the face; reaching a book on the top shelf with Hadalen instead of standing on an unsteady surface when you're pregnant (Vix); watering houseplants (Aquanin); or maybe cooking a meal (Solarin).
